I was the director of 'Treasure Planet 2', a sequel to Disney's Treasure Planet, which unfortunately underperformed at the box office, causing the sequel to be canceled.
Prior to the cancellation, I was right in the middle of concurrent scripting/designing/storyboarding, and everyone had been overwhelmingly positive about the sequel. We had already cast the film and had approached a composer for songs. It was a shock when it was cancelled.

I developed a feature animated film based on the Jungle Book (yep, another) with Kevin Johnson, DQ Entertainment and Rollman Entertainment.
We wanted this version of the classic story to deviate significantly from the Disney versions, based more on Indian culture, music, and design. We also stayed closer to the source material, and changed Mowgli's age to a teenager in order to explore slightly more mature themes in the film.
We spent months working with writers and development artists in both India and the US, creating a sizzle trailer for the film. Unfortunately, the film did not go into production and was soon eclipsed by Disney's live action remake.

I was asked to present my take on the film that would be eventually be released as "Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank." So I quickly wrote, boarded and put together this 'teaser trailer.' I thought it turned out rather amusing. : )
I was the director of the Curious George theatrical for nearly two years. I reworked the story, script and animatic over and over, with over 10 writers, including William Goldman. I helped design the world and characters with my wonderful art team and animators. I helped cast the movie and worked with Will Ferrell, among others.
It was, unfortunately for me at the time, a difficult production with very little support at the top. It was handled by executives who were not used to looking at or creating animation. Eventually we parted ways. I'm glad a nice series came out of it.

In an attempt to dress him a bit more contemporarily, we thought to have the Man in the Yellow Hat in long khaki pants!
